Changes Are In the Plans For Tucson SEO Solutions

November 30, 2009

We just wanted to provide our readers another update. My life and business partner, Geri, is still hospitalized. It appears that she has developed major liver – lung ailment. She will likely not be returning to her place of employment. So we will have will have some major adjusting to do in our lives.

This has temporarily put some these projects at Tucson SEO on hold. We are very close to finishing the development of a huge list of Do Follow Social Bookmarking sites. This list is a for profit venture. We have not decided where the list will be hosted. We are also developing a list that includes only Do Follow blogs that allow keywords to be used in the name field. We have some 1500 blogs to be reviewed before this project is completed. Both of these lists will only include websites that have page rank of at least 2 or 3.

While I’m discussing link building resources I want to mention our Do Follow Websites progress or lack thereof. We created a link building program that was built the ethical principals of Scratch My Back Marketing. The problem is that I have been promoting it on forums. Most forum using are looking for the easiest ways to gain links and being ethical isn’t a high priority. So I have only a dozen or so go through the program. A money making machine it has not been.

Tomorrow my honey, Geri, will becoming home from the hospital with oxygen tank in tow. Our lives have been dramatically impacted by this turn of events. The good news is that some small projects have come my way and they will help to soften the blows for now.

That’s our story… For now!

This is a feature that we are implementing with each post. It is here because we provide small business SEO solutions all across Arizona, including the Phoenix, Scottsdale, and Glendale areas. We want to acknowledge and thank our friends and potential clients for their support. If you have landed here looking for our Internet Marketing, SEO, or affordable website design/re-design services in Tempe, Arizona then please follow this to our Local SEO page.

Keeping Up With Page Rank

This is not a post that indicates some hidden truth or explanation about Page Rank. No, it is simply a post that indicates why I pay so little attention to it. Our site and blog had been sitting with a PR of 3 up until the most recent update. Then they both dropped down to a PR of 2. Both had seen steady increases in links so I was a bit perplexed, but it seemed to be part of a general trend. Many websites are experiencing PR down grades these days.

Then I noticed that our Tucson Small Business Networking Group site had a PR of 4. The site was just launched in May and Yahoo’s Site Explorer showed only 17 backlinks recorded. How could this be? Brand new sites are not supposed to have any PR. So how then did I end up with a PR of 4? This is beyond my understanding. Page rank is supposed to be a delayed report based on months old information.

Then today I discovered that the site and blog now have a PR of 3 and the networking site has experienced a downgrade to a PR 3. Could it be a fluke in the Page Rank? I don’t know. It is still this way days later and nothing has changed!

Do you have any ideas?

I’m sorry to hear about Geri. Sending all the best to you both! And it’s good to see that you are continuing with small projects and such. Hopefully the new DoFollow list you’ve been working on will yield some profit for you, and by not making it available to the general public you will decrease the chances of those sites getting spammed, which is always a good thing. -Jason

I’m very sorry to hear about your family issues. Obviously, having a personal problem like this is truly stressful, but even more so if it affects your business. It’s still a great idea to continue with some of the smaller projects to stay on track and optimistic!
