IT is quite a long list of terms and policies regarding comment. After reading this post i am familiar with why you deleted that specific persons comments. It's just that the Internet shows the downside of many people.

We really can't prevent all spammers. Comments are prone to abuse so a close monitoring I believe is the best way to prevent it. Putting up all those rules may scare away other legit comment posters but I don't think spammers will honor that or even read that.

One big issue with today's blogging is that bloggers are not mutually helpful. People come to your website try to post a comment to get an link's advantage, but when you trackback to their blog or website and make some genuine comment contributing to the post, they never accept us. People are kind a sick and selfish. Despite enabling keywordluv and commentluv there are certain people who dont know how to make use of it. Its totally disgusting. I think its high time for me to have a open public policy like yours.

Regards,
Mack

Admin: Mack, that's so true some of my biggest spammers are other bloggers. This is not what I had expected.

Admin: That policy clearly says that I do not provide links to SEO competitors that do not have a blog. I guess that you really didn't really read the article.

Hi Andy

This is the second post that I have submitted to your blog. The first was a submission on "Scratch my back Marketing" I thought the article was very good and a great idea. On checking to see if my reply to your post had past the moderation step, I had seen that It had, but I also noticed that my anchor text had not been formed into a "Do Follow Link" in fact, it wasn't a link period.

I started to look at what I may have done wrong, I looked at other posts, some were linking some wern't. There appeared to me to be no discernible difference between my post and the posts of others in the immediate comments section. I looked at my post again, It had more than 20 words in it and i thought it was in context with the blog post. I was baffled.

I noticed on anothers comment that you had left them a reply. Your reply was along the lines of having more than 20 words but no Link love and that the person should read Comment Policy Update 2009. So I myself took that advice, I just finished reading it. There is a section in it that I don't understand and was wondering if you may be able to explain or show mw how it is done. This is the line:

"If you do not properly execute Keyword Luv by using the @ symbol in your anchor text you will not acquire a link".

I have no idea how to do this. I went and had a look at other posts on your blog and didn't notice the @ symbol in any of there anchor text.

Actually I think I may have just seen how to do it. Underneath the submit Comment button there is some text that says "This site uses KeywordLuv. Enter YourName@YourKeywords in the Name field to take advantage".

I'm still going to go ahead and post this comment, only to see if I actually found the solution. Sorry Andy If I have wasted your time, but if it is still not right could you please advise me on how to get my anchor text working.

Admin: You got it correct this time. There is no Andy here.

Mark,

Yes, the internet brings out the negative side of many people. Since they can see each other they act much differently. It is what it is. I got a bunch of nasty replies that I didn't post over this and my post about catching spam.

Those who are doing it don't like when we talk about the negative business practices. Thanks... I always appreciate your feedback!

That's great that you were so forward and explain why you deleted that specific person's comments, and it's also really odd that he wouldn't reciprocate anything to you. Do people feel like they can be rude just because we aren't face-to-face?
