Good article. I’ve always used the Google Keywords Tool exclusively for keywords research, but I’ve recently found out that these results and the keywords my clients use don’t always match.

So nowadays, whenever I visit a new customer, I’ll just ask what his favorite keywords are. I’ll compare his suggestions to the results of the Keywords Tool and sometimes add a few words of my own. This way, you get the best of both worlds, so everybody is happy in the end.

However you do it I think it’s always good to get ideas from others as to what they will search for. Being able to judge what potential visitors will search for is half the battle.

On another note, I like the comments you’ve put at the bottom of comments made by spammers. Some people just don’t listen do they – don’t they realise they might learn something if they read posts.

Heh, three of my favorite things. Never thought I would love and enjoy SEO as much as I do. It’s actually something that I wake up in the morning and look forward to doing. I mean, on page SEO is pretty quick, and off page SEO is a bit boring, but the feeling of buying a website and knowing you’ll make it rank better is really fun. Makes me feel talented even. Oh, and of course, pizza and beer go with everything.

Use the title and meta description tags as wise as possible. They are your best choice of avoiding supplemental pages. Try to make each page with it’s own unique title and description, and never repeat more than 20-25% of the title and description tags content on different pages. Use a limited number of characters (8-10) in the title tag, and put the most important of them, relevant to each page, at the beginning.

This is really bad advice from a spammer… Wow, it’s bad!!!!!!!!!

They are highly deprecated in the latest algorithm changes, and may even lead you to a penalization of your website’s SERPs. As a measure of precaution, I recommend a maximum of one site-wide (no matter the number of pages) for every 40 to 50 unique links from 40 to 50 unique domains.

Hm, that’s an interesting idea. I like the concept of asking them multiple times because they’ll think about it a little differently over time. Often when I’m looking back on keyword lists that I had made in the past, I’m amazed at all the keywords I realize I missed at the time. So to add to your strategy, it’s also good to review your lists every couple months or so because your perspective may change by then.

Nice article. I would love to try out this technique. I am not sure this technique will work in my business as its not possible to drink, eat and write.
