Site May Be Down the next few days

May 2, 2008

Just wanted to let you know that we are in the process of upgrading our website and transferring it to a new hosting company. We may be down for a day or two. These things are hard to predict.

The good news is that we are becoming a Do Follow blog. We will be adding the Comment Luv Plugin and Top Commenter Plugins. So you have the potential of leaving a comment and acquiring 3 DoFollow links.

It’s all part of what we call “Scratch my back marketing.” Your comments help boost or maintain our search rankings and we want to “Scratch your back” and supply you with valuable do follow links.

When we started the blog back in May of 2008 we were concerned that Google would punish blogs that were “Do Follow.” However, we have seen no evidence of this. Also Google went public, in the fall of 2008, with its Knol site and offered ‘Do Follow” links. We figured if Google was offering “Do Follow” links then why not join the party. After all, a “Do Follow” link is a reward for being part of the discussion.

All comments will be moderated. This eliminates the spam and comment spam. It also keeps the conversations relevant. I personally don’t care what language is used in real life or on other blogs. However, we will not tolerate even the mildest forms of cursing.

The updated blog includes what are known as threaded comments. This allows for you to be able to reply to a specific comment. Sometimes blog posts develop several conversations at once which can make following things difficult. Threaded comment helps eliminate this.

We are very hopeful that these changes will make our blog a much more useful and user friendly experience. We had hoped to have this all in place prior to beginning the 109 Day Link Building Explosion program but that didn’t happen. We had to remove our developer from the project when he showed that they could not deliver. The blog has a bunch of theme hacks that were beyond their abilities to replicate.

Thanks for understanding…
