Doesnt the internet and rude people go hand in hand? I suppose in one way though, it is what makes the internet so unique. What is rude to one person is fine to another. Makes us grow quicker…

Just like anything else in this world, you may please some, but you can’t please them all. Oh well, just speak your mind, and let them say against you, the truth of the matter is, no matter how well you blog, write, there will always be these people who are brutal and rude. Well, come to think about it, you still did a good job, they read it right, and maybe replied to your blog, that only shows they were interested.

I guess trolls are really part of any forums or websites..they’re everywhere. That is one of the major reason why I always keep my accounts private, you tell your thoughts, they will make fun of you..or worse..they’ll say nasty things about you just for the satisfaction of doing it.

First, I’m glad your wife is doing better.

Second, no one should have to deal with negative comments that are inappropriate, no matter where they are. You can’t control the forum, but you certainly can control your own blog, and I personally don’t put up with moronic comments. Easy to block them and kill them; after all, you pay for it, and there’s no such thing as free speech from others when you’re paying for it, if they’re being rude.

If you can’t be honest, what’s the point right?

How is this different from real life?

I mean you no disrespect – but I have seen people who insisted on being totally honest with others IRL, and it screwed over their careers and lives.

People seem to think that just because it’s the Internet, talknig here can come without repercussions to your emotions and life. They’re wrong.

I never said it was any different. In this case I was writing about a life and death struggle.

Although the internet is already a necessity nowadays, it is sad to say that it is also being widely used for wrong purposes. I believe that a lot of people have already experienced being treated badly just by putting cruel and rude comments in forums and blogs. The internet is supposed to be the tool for the improvement of the society but it turned out to be one of the avenues used for ruining a person’s identity and credibility. With honest blogging, I think we still have to consider our limitations in posting information especially with personal issues. Let’s just be more careful in putting our cry outs because not all people are sensitive enough to feel for their neighbors.

Rude people on the internet – that is the one thing that has stopped me from starting a personal blog. As much as writing my thoughts down and getting comments from friends helps me deal with problems, I still can’t get around to putting myself out there via a blog. Because a blog, a forum post, or even a comment like this is viewable by anyone, it is instantly considered as public property and thus can be publicly scrutinized.

I admire you for not feeding that troll in that forum post. That is the only way to deal with them really. Oh and I am happy to read that Geri is okay, out of the hospital, and recieving primary health care.
